No longer are we limited to to a single preset to apply to your RAW files. Maybe we love the Kodak Portra 400 from the contemporary Films pack and the Agfa Pro 200 from Vintage films. Well now its possible to take the color and tone curve from one and add it to the base tone and film grain of the other creating endless possibilities. Amazing, right? What if you are doing a full original edit and you just aren’t happy with the color? Then Pic Preset System is the solution. Just go to Click 3 and try one of the built in presets for the HSL panel. Not getting the most out of the tone curve? No worries, just try one of the 89 built in tone curves including many film emulators.
It really couldn’t be an easier to get professional results whist keeping full creative control. Just select 1 or more of any of the clicks and you are set. Just like layers each click is 100% independent so you can build your own style with confidence.
Each click is 100% trackable meaning you can always go back and see what you did. Replicate your effects whilst understanding ‘why’ an edit looks like it does. Lightroom has powerful history tracking but if you have ever tried to use it for things like the tone curve its pretty much impossible. Not any more, the Pic Preset System allows you to accurately track your edits without ever leaving Lightroom. Now that’s revolutionary!
Click 1 – 20 Calibration and Lens Presets
Here, in just a single click, you can do your lens corrections, add prebuilt standard camera calibrations and even get creative with dynamic camera calibrations.
Click 2 – 87 Tonal Presets
This takes care of basic tonal qualities of an image. Dynamically add contrast, increase dynamic range or use one of the many built in film emulation presets to develop the foundation of the image. We didn’t stop there, if you want more creativity there is a full suite of refinements built in.
Click 3 – 75 HSL Presets
Taking care of the color of the image is one of the most important things to understand, but with limitless options, the HSL panel can be overwhelming. The Pic Presets System has all the hue, situation and luminance settings built in. Choose from enhancements, dynamic control or from one of the many built in film presets.
Click 4 – 123 Tone Curve Presets
This is one of the most creative sections of Lightroom but this also makes it one of the hardest to get the best results. We have spent 3 years developing our set of tone curves and have tested them over 1 million times to ensure the best results. We have built everything from boosts, crushes, mattes, color effects and a plethora of film emulators. The Tone curve is the perfect place for creativity in just a single click.
Click 5 – 31 Split Tone Presets
Highlights and shadows in photography are two places that hold story and emotion. We have created a perfect blend of synchronised color mixes including analogous, Complimentary and Creative. This is a great way to add a beautiful color tone to your images. Each preset here has been thoughtfully worked to deliver the maximum in color control.
Click 6 – 40 Vibrance and Saturation Presets
Now you have the color pallet worked out with HSL, the deep tonal qualities through the tone curve and chosen any colors in the highlights and shadows, it’s time to choose how much of that color is left in the image. This is where saturation and vibrance comes in. This is more than just boosting the color there are many creative presets to decide the quality of the color situation.
Click 7 – 35 Details and Noise Presets
We want our images to the look incredible and sharpness is a vital part of this. We have added a wide range of sharpening presets that are specific to portraits, landscapes and lifestyle images. but we didn’t stop at sharpening, you also see creative ways of reducing noise too. Through the years of testing and development we made the important decision to place the ‘Clarity’ slider in this section. Working with the mid-tones of an image this tool is able to carefully add that extra little boost to your images.
Click 8 – 15 Film Grain Presets
This is where we add that final ‘feeling’ to an image. Film grain is more than just making an image look older than it is, it’s about giving it heart; an emotion. This is all about story telling. We have built film grain emulators from 35mm, medium format and a range of creative film grains.
Click 9 – 46 Graduated Filter Presets
With these stunning graduated filter presets, the creativity never ends. We have worked hard to keep each creative element separate so you never have to sacrifice one thing to have another. After l thousands of hours testing we decided that the graduated filter would be used for two main things. The first was to add some popular lens effects like edge blurring and that important ’tilt shift’ effect. The second, and most creative use, is for the ‘light leaks’. You will see a stunning array and hand crafted light leaks that work as lens flares, edge leaks and vintage style light leaks.
Click 10 – 15 Radial Filter Presets
The final click takes advantage of that all important radial filter. Here, we introduced effects that are ideal for portrait images, using it as a tool to create dynamic focus. Just move the filter over your focus area and see beautiful results instantly. We also included a second set of lens flare light leaks here giving you the ability to add stunning flares to any image.
